ALL THE THINGS

Because *Songdog-StrayFang and ~Shinkoryu14 did it recently AND DANGIT IT WAS TOO TEMPTING.
Also take a look at another meme I did, cause a lot of the movies in it were heavily influential too, but I didn't want to repeat myself too much.


It took a lot to dwindle things down but I tried. I'm sure I forgot some obvious things but ALAS! Also I didn't feel like writing what the things were on here since the titles were already on the majority of them and that seems counter productive.
LONG DESCRIPTIONS AHOY!

Watership Down
I don't think I can say enough how much this story influenced me. _{Which is why I put a buttload of pics of it on here.} I watched the film before I read the book, so it was primarily it that was influential. Everything about it is so perfect for me: the story, the characters, the animation, the artistic quality, the meaning. This movie not only inspired my love for rabbits, but kickstarted basically everything I do now. I can say right now I would not be the artist I am today if I hadn't of seen this movie. My very first original species were rabbit-like creatures inspired from this movie, so without it I probably wouldn't have created original species at all; then where would I be?

I included a screenshot of the final battle between Woundwort and Bigwig because it also started my creepy love for drawing bloody things 8D As a 12 year old I began mimicking this particular fight scene with my characters, and even though I don't really draw that many bloody fight scenes anymore, my strange love for drawing blood/creepy things was started from it. The book did have an impact as well, primarily in my written works. After I read it was really when my enjoyment of writing started and my stories truly began. But it was not as big of an influence as the film. (Also the show is absolutely not in here at all because it disgusts me =D )

Jurassic Park
JP mainly inspired my love for dinosaurs. As a child, when I wasn't obsessed over horses it was dinosaurs. I collected all the action figures from JP3 and took them to school and people thought I was weird. But hey, everyone at some point carries that love for dinos, eh? And I still obsess over them and squee with delight when I go places dino-themed. P.S. MY FAV DINOSAUR IS PARASAUROLOPHUS.

Carnivores & Hunting games
Okay, this is going to sound really weird, but my love for hunting games actually made me love the animals in them. You know, despite that you were shooting them. Carnivores I still have and still play even though it's old as butts (and also another big influence for my love for dinos.). I played a bajillion deer hunting games but I only put these two cause they were the first two hunting PC games I ever played. As a child I played nothing but hunting games and they made me fall in love with all the specimen of deer, which still leads into today and quite a few of my character designs. I still love hunting games now, and have a great respect for real life Ethical game hunting.

You see, this is what I played instead of Pokemon. 8D

Christianity
While I'm probably not the best Christian out there (I'm more into the personal faith aspect than the church/religion side of it), there's no doubt that my faith has influenced a lot to me and in my works. I don't like to make things blatant to scare or deter people away from my stuff, but it takes a lot of inspiration from it, which can be noticed sometimes.

RED & other Music
The band RED influenced me and still influences me to this day. I pretty much love every single song they do and just hearing one pops like 10 images into my head. It, along with Skillet and FF5, also tie into the previous religious influence. As Christian-inspired bands, their lyrics mean a lot to me. But I also love how they aren't stereotypical Christian music either, and can be enjoyed by everyone, no matter their religion.

HORSES
My favorite animal as a child, like most stereotypical little girls, was horses. I still absolutely love horses as animals, and still would like to own another at some point in my life (I miss my old two dearly) but they aren't really influential to me much anymore (and they are my... 5th or something favorite animal now) but I needed to add them in here because they did start a lot of my art things.

Invader Zim
If you used to watch me when I first started dA, you know this one. It inspired a lot of my weird humor and my love for aliens and alien races. While I did have alien creatures and alien planets before this, it really solidified it for me. Also ALMIGHTY TALLEST!

deviantART, particularly all the wonderful, amazing, awesome people I've met here, have made a HUGE impact on me and my art. Not to mention the intense feedback I've gotten that continuously gives me improvement. I have made friends, watched many go, many grow, and have made connections with people here that there's no way I couldn't mention them. Every person you meet in life affects you as a person, and internet people count as well. If I could, I could list all the people I've met who have meant so much to me, but that would be a ridiculously long list. So you guys know who you are, and I love you
