Everything began to piece itself together. The pills. The colors. Amniote's behavior. All of it fell together in a disorderly heap. Chordata partially felt ashamed of herself for not listening to ringmaster Elly when she should have. It certainly would have saved her all the trouble she had been through - or at least some of it. Now it all came to this.

"You? You are my opponent?" Chordata almost laughed as she got off her horse's back again.

Amniote traveled about the fair grounds, her master straddled on her back, hands gripped tightly onto smoky wisps of mane. Chordata was well aware of the curious stares from on-lookers they were more than likely receiving, but it did not bother her at that point in time. There are stranger things in this circus than a purple ghostly horse that they could be gawking at, Chordata thought. It proved to be an attaining plan having Chordata ride the creature; this not only saved an immense amount of time, but also kept her from much embarrassment of having to trip about the tents in her current sightless state.

As the squeak of wheels came closer, Chordata quickly turned away, hiding her face from view. Her body stiffened and her mind raced, preparing to devise combating words. She tried to think of something that would send her former opponent away, but her brain was empty of any retort she could possibly give.

  "Did I hear what I think I heard?" came Marciannah's voice from behind. Her words were coated with a thick, mocking tone.

  "You know, eaves dropping isn't nice. But I suppose you wouldn't know the first thing about that." Chordata replied, back still turned.

"This is completely unjustified! Unorthodox! Unsatisfactory!" Bane's voice rippled through the small tent that ringmaster Elly was stationed in. She was making attempts at relaxing for a few spare moments before returning to her duties of ordering around her staff and hearing all the sniffles and whines from the other contestants. Not to mention she also wished to slip out and take a seat to watch the fights themselves - even a ringmaster deserved to have some appropriate entertainment.

Oh wow... this picture more than makes up for the fact that I didn't get one earlier. I was really wondering how this'd turn out, since both of the examples that I had submitted are much more artistic than they are conceptual. I must say that other than one or two inconsistencies (my fault, really), you did an awesome job! The coloring is surprisingly close to how I'd imagined it, and the shading is spot on. Its outfit is terribly ironic, considering the character's personality (a good thing in this case considering I was uncontrollably laughing for two minutes upon seeing this). Besides, this particular personality has been known to take a liking to certain alcoholic drinks, so I'm just going to go ahead and assume that all the martinis that he'd consumed had gone to his head.

TLDR: This is awesome!
