Pretend - Lights

Another picture from my recent song challenge on Tumblr that I finally got around to fixing up. The original had a huge issue with the planes not matching/being what I wanted. I ended up fixing it a little closer but I'm still not completely satisfied. Alaaaas, I have no time to worry about it at the moment.

Anyway, had this picture in mind since Tapestry of Horror and never got around to drawing it. For those who read her story know, Chordata had a peculiar childhood and a lot of that affected how she treats things in the present. I tend to think that she wishes sometimes (when she's not being an arrogant power-hungry turd) to go back in time and change a lot of her decisions, especially since she got herself into a hot mess on more than one occasion growing up. Her story was rather hectic and had a lot of holes (the unfortunate side of OCTs) but maybe some of that bled through. Or it's just my brain constantly developing her. You never know with me!

Enjoy the two Amniotes and the two Chordatas. This was the first time I actually drew Amniote's not-essence form in detail. The only other illustrations of her prior were tiny iscribble doodles. I imagine the type of horse to look more exotic than this but for this picture I decided not to complicate things. There's time for concepting alien equines at a later date!

I made those grass brushes.
