EDIT 7/21/09: Holy crap, this thing is getting very popular! I'm rather glad to see that! However, due to the rise in views, I no longer feel comfortable having comments open. Though I'm all up for people expressing their opinions, I really don't want any debates springing up here. So, sadly, I am now disabling comments. If you have any comment you want to share with me (that's not something negative) feel free to note me. Don't bother if it's going to be negative. I'm not up for debating on the subject any time soon. Please respect that. Thanks!
Homophobia? No thanks plz 8D
lol, couldn't think of a good title. The whole thing don't fit. SADFACE.
I've began to get incredibly agitated at how a lot of non-Christians stereotype Christians. One of the worst ones is that all of us are homophobic and wish to damn all homosexuals to the burning fire of hell.
HAHAHA No.
Yes, there are many many Christians who despise homosexuality and everything regarding it. After all, I'm not gonna try and hide it, the Bible states straight forward that homosexuality is a sin. BUT you have to understand that by reading the Bible is also states that God loves EVERYONE.
Straight OR Gay.
And in return we should do the same.
"Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another." ~ 1 John 4:11
After all, Jesus died for ALL of us. I don't recall him saying anything while on the cross stating "I'm dying for the heterosexual's sins." He died for all of us, meaning he loves us all.
---
Also, here's just my opinion on it, but we Christians knows that God does want us to try and help those who are leading the wrong path, which does mean we should attempt at helping them turn to God, but there is only so much we can do. In my opinion, there is no use trying to force someone to believe, if they themselves are not ready. That is why I don't judge others of their beliefs and ways. If they wish to convert and ask me for questions on the way to Christianity, by all means, that will be the time I'll act!
Otherwise, I have no place standing in their way. This means I am NOT a homophobic. I am NOT full of hatred for homosexuals and bisexuals. I will NOT force and threaten those who are this way in their sexual orientation. It's their life, not mine. And they have the right to choose what they want to believe.
I have so many friends who are bisexual, gay, and lesbians, and I love them just as much as anyone else! It's their life and I respect that! They've never done anything wrong to me, so why should I hate them? I don't give a rat's behind if they love someone of their own sex, that doesn't mean they aren't a living breathing child of God!
Heck, I know TONS of homosexuals who ARE Christians! So stating that Christianity = Homophobia is a double negative. What? So the gays are afraid of themselves? xD THINK WITH YOUR BRAIN MEATS!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
