As fun as it can be using another person's species for characters as a change of pace, I can't help but feel like I'm being a burden sometimes while doing it. I feel like I constantly step on toes. For a fleeting moment I wonder "Okay... maybe I can just transform it into something original?" I pretty much did this with Garin. Linda has a human form, but, frankly, just changing a character's species isn't a quick and easy deal: they transform into an entirely new entity. Garin became something new entirely when he was changed. Human!Linda, I feel, is also something different in comparison to her normal, Blacorite form. And even this Ambivian!Linda feels... not like Linda. It's fun to imagine, but at the end of the day... it's just not the same character. But why do I still feel so guilty?
Either way... I did have fun with this. I decided to make her the rounded-ear breed (same as Brandon in TS), even though in retrospect that was sorta silly considering that particular breed range the shortest, and Linda is above average height for a woman. Buuut oh well. I also made her non-Royal and a legit albino (the pink in her hair is dyed). I'm not sure if an albino Ambivian would have colors in their antenna or tongue... but I included it anyway.
Something tells me this Linda would prefer flirting to hugging. Just a hunch~
I thought that looked kinda like Linda As far as I know, I think a true albino wouldn't have any color in their antenae. I'm not sure about the tongue though. She could be a partial albino.
Hmm...interesting point I haven't really ever changed a character's species, but I guess I feel the same way with my characters that are supposed to represent me in some way, my "alter egos" (that what my friends call them) and my fursona in particular. They're supposed to be me, but they don't quite feel like me since I often give them different backgrounds or they exhibit certain traits/aspects of mine a little more.
Ahaha, indeed That silly white and pink lady~ I wouldn't assume they would. I dunno about tongues, though, since that's technically an organ and... I think that sorta excludes them.
That's a pretty good example too! Even if you give them a part of your personality, they can never be just like you. Funny how it works. :U
I love how much of her personality is shown through this! X3
Yus XD
Now I'm left to wonder what Ambivian!Jeeves looks like...
Don't give me ideas, Twinni. >8I
