This series involves humor related character comparisons between the Watership Down 1978 animated film and the 1999 animated television show. There is a large majority of people, me included, who do not support this television series for various reasons too detailed to explain here. Here's a nice review to get an idea.

Bigwig (Thayli)
Ok, the only thing this TV series seemed to get right about Bigwig was that he was a tough rabbit that didn't particularily take crap from anyone most of the time. And that's pretty much it.
As far as designs go, the first thing people notice is he has a HUGE freakin' lions mane. Ok, he's a wild rabbit, not an Angora rabbit. Sure he's supposed to have a big tuft of fur on his head but when did it say anything about fur around his neck? Then I always felt he seemed a bit TOO buff in the show. His face just looks like he's mad 24-7 and he looks like he has a unibrow (lol). That and he has this weird thing going on with his chin that always seemed to bug the daylights outta me. Did anyone else notice that?
*AlphaShampoo-Artemis and I also noticed in the first couple episodes his tail continued to change from having a black tip to just having a black top half. It ws so weird
Then in Season 3 (which I mentioned before I'm only doing comparisons between Seasons 1 & 2) he just... looks like some weird shaggy dog. [link]
At least his over-the-top anger spasms had a decent comic relief in the show. Too bad it got old after the 14th time he did it.

I can see where your coming from with the designs, although I've never heard of the series until now 0_0

Well, it's not as well known because its a Britain-made animation and it didn't go off too well with the critics. You can find several episodes on YouTube as well as purchase DVDs of them but other than that I don't much know how people discovered it since I don't think it goes on TV anymore.

I watched the old movie and some of the series and its really different. I could easily see the movie scaring little kids but the tv show is way kiddie.
